Farmers Ready to Educate Congress About Availablity of Corn for Ethanol

In the face of serious global food shortages, amazingly farmers have formed a coalition to educate Washington D.C. politicians about the ready availability of corn for ethanol.

The Corn Farmers Coalition – comprised of corn farmers from 10 state associations and industry trade members of the National Corn Growers Association – insist that there’s plenty of corn for fuel and for feeding livestock and people.

Perhaps the coalition should check the statistics and sharp rises in corn prices over the past year before loudly declaiming their “facts”. As the saying goes, numbers don’t lie.

But political spin? Well, that’s just politics, isn’t it.
