Time to take action on Climate Change – we have the solutions

 

Just read a great article by Ellen Moyer, Ph.D. In it she presents a clear cut analysis of the issues we face with climate change and existing solutions we can take to address these problems.

As Moyer states “opportunities for addressing greenhouse gases lie within our reach.” Proven clean energy technologies exist. Taking on the issues would provide surprising health and economic benefits. And, she says, “cost is not an obstacle” as the savings from implementing these proven methods would outweigh costs through savings.

Eliminating subsidies for forestry and ag private entities would go a long way towards remediating these issues, she says. And it’s time for America to really step up and take bold leadership. And that means we the people being the driving force to press for that leadership.
